When you decorate with interior window shutters, you add a permanent décor to your rooms, one that can be opened entirely, or in the closed position, the slats can be open or closed. The interior shutters can be easily installed by a ‘Do It Yourselfer’ and you wouldn’t need many tools to do the job. If you mount the shutters on the inside of the window box, then all you need to do is secure the screws to the 2x4 frame of the window. If the shutter will be attached outside the window frame, then it will need to be carefully mounted with drywall anchors or attached to a stud to insure stability. Normal hinges will hold the shutters in place.

Without doubt decorating with interior shutters will add uniqueness to your home. They can be seen from the outside, and on the inside you can adjust the light coming into your home. They can be closed to insure privacy or open wide to allow the warmth of the sun to penetrate your home on a cold winter day.
